Since we are in the middle of a remodel, I have been thinking about new decor. Looking around my house, I realized the most of what is on my walls is something I have made or something someone else made for me. There is one canvas painting that I bought at a thrift store, but it is just an unframed canvas that someone painted. I do not really like mass marketed decor items. I like personal stuff. We have friends that have commented on our lack of "art" on the walls, but to me, it has to have some meaning to be displayed. I have a few items that have been "store bought", but it has to be something I really love.
